Cookies and Similar Technologies

If you have logged on to your Corteva account through one of our Digital Services or respond to an e-mail from us or accepted the Cookies in our website, we may be able to link the information We collect to other information that identifies you.  We use the information collected for various purposes, to store and honor your preferences and settings, security and authentication, analytics, measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, to serve you advertising for products and services that we believe will be of interest to you, and to fulfill other legitimate purposes described below.

The types of cookies We collect fall into one of three categories:

  • Required cookies: These cookies are necessary to enable the basic features of the site to function such as providing secure log-in or remembering how many items are in your shopping cart. This category of cookies cannot be disabled and does not require consent.
  • Functional cookies: These cookies are optional and allow us to analyze your use of the Digital Services and evaluate and improve our performance. They may also be used to provide a better customer experience on the Digital Services. For example, remembering your log-in details or providing Us information about how you use our site, such as preferred language.
  • Advertising cookies: These cookies are optional and can be used to learn about what interests you may have based on the websites you visit. They can help Us serve you more relevant ads on our Digital Services or on third-party sites based on inferences about your interests.

Where required by law, we obtain your consent before placing or using functional or advertising cookies   and you can always opt in or out of functional or advertising cookies through the cookie preferences tool on Our Digital Services. This cookie preferences tool is enabled to process your preferences and in certain jurisdictions, to recognize and process a Universal Opt-Out signal. Some browsers have “do not track” settings.  Because there is not yet a common understanding how to interpret these signals, We do not currently respond to browser “do not track” settings.

In addition, with most internet browsers or other software you can change your browser settings to erase cookies from your computer hard drive, block all cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple process in most browsers that allows you to decline the use of cookies. To learn more about opt-out in web browsers please visit  https://optout.aboutads.info/ and https://optout.networkadvertising.org. To learn more about cookies, please visit your local digital advertising association such as:

Once you have set your cookie preferences, the specific choices you made will be followed. Please remember that if you delete your preferences, or use a different browser or computer, you will need to set your cookies preferences again.

Other Technologies We Use

  • Beacons and Pixel Tags:Beacons and pixel tags are small graphics on a website page or in an e-mail message designed to track pages viewed or e-mail messages opened and can be used to deliver cookies to your computer. These technologies can also help analyze the effectiveness of websites by measuring the number of visitors or activity on a website.
  • Plugins and Links to Third Party Sites: Our Digital Services may include plugins from social networks or other third parties such as Facebook, Meta, or Google. These plugins can place a cookie on your computer that tells the third-party site that you have visited one of Our Digital Services. If you have logged onto a third-party site that site may collect this information whether or not you have interacted with the third-party plugin in or linked Our Digital Services. We treat third party plugins as non-required cookies and so you may set your cookie preferences accordingly.

Web Analytics

Where permitted by law, we use third party web analytics services such as Google and Adobe to better understand how users engage with our Digital Services. As discussed above under Cookies and Similar Technologies, these third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across unaffiliated sites using cookies and other tracing technologies. We treat these cookies and technologies used to collect these analytics as non-required cookies and so you may set your cookie preferences accordingly. You can also learn more about Google’s privacy practices by visiting www.google.com/policies/privacy/‌partners/  and opt out by downloading the Google Analytics opt out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and Adobe’s privacy practices by visiting https://www.adobe.com/privacy.html and to opt-out by visiting https://www.adobe.com/privacy/opt-out.html#customeruse.

Behavioral and Interest Based Advertising

Corteva may use third-party advertising companies to serve you online advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you based on your visits to our sites and other sites across the devices you use (commonly known as “behavioral advertising” or “interest-based advertising”). To do so, these advertising companies may collect information through the placement of cookies or other technologies as described above, on our Digital Services and combine it with information about your activities on other websites, mobile apps, and devices. You can prevent getting interest-based ads based on the placement of cookies by following the cookies opt-out steps detailed above, by declining cookies in your browser(s), declining the “access to data” requests that apps usually present when you install them, or by adjusting the ad tracking settings on your device. If you are in the United States and wish to opt out of targeted advertising or cross context behavioral advertising, you may click the opt-out button on our United States site homepage and/or complete an opt-out request form. More information can be found at US Privacy Notice (corteva.com).

Please note that even if you opt-out of advertising cookies or opt-out of behavioral and interest-based advertising you may still see advertisements from Us. These ads are not based on your behavior across various sites but based on the context of a specific site you visit. For instance, you may see an advertisement for a Corteva seed product when visiting a farming website.
